Slab Shield Insulation VCL

SlabShield Insulation was designed specifically for use under concrete slabs, where floor heights are restricted. It is lightweight and cuts easily with a utility knife and is only 11mm thick. SlabShield moulds itself to the contours of the subfloor to provide a better and stronger finished screed.

SlabShield provides an air infiltration barrier, vapour barrier and boosts thermal performance, in one simple to install product. The first layer of foam provides a thermal break between the warm slab and the foil. While the second layer of foam provides an additional thermal break between the foil and the cold hard-core.

Our Low-‘E’ emissivity foil distributes the heat evenly across the floor, giving a faster response time and results in a more efficient heating system. The foil is protected and unaffected by the chemical reaction that cures when foil comes in contact with uncured concrete. SlabShield will not crack or crumble with normal job-site-abuses. It is puncture resistant up to 93 psi and crush resistant up to 70 psi.
